One of the largest crypto-exchanges in the world, Binance, closed for Russians transfers and withdrawals to foreign banks regardless of the country of residence.
This was announced in Telegram by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.
The minister published screenshots of correspondence between a Russian user and the Binance support service.
The user, according to him, a resident of Dubai, asks why he cannot withdraw funds to a bank account.
The support service responded that “the payment system is not available to users of the region of your birthplace, despite the fact that you are a resident of another country.
Accounts of users of the crypto-exchange Binance from Russia, whose total value of crypto-assets exceeds €10,000, will be restricted due to EU sanctions against Russia.
Crypto-exchange Coinbase sent out a warning to some users from Russia about the blocking of accounts from May 31 due to sanctions: to avoid this, you need to provide documents confirming that the cryptocurrency purse owner is not subject to EU sanctions.
