Crypto exchange Currency.com transferred 1 million dollars for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
This is stated in a statement of the crypto exchange.
The funds will be distributed to 4 charities – the Red Cross Society in Ukraine, the Humanitarian Aid Fund under the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, ASAP Rescue and Global Giving.
“Our hearts are with the citizens of Ukraine who are caught up in this war. Many have had to leave their homes due to freezing temperatures, power outages and food shortages. Every day is a struggle to survive.
We want to help where we can,” said Currency.com U.S. CEO Steve Gregory.
“Like everyone else in the world, we are extremely concerned about the shocking events taking place in Ukraine. As a global company with an international team, we feel it is our duty to help those affected by this war. We will continue to closely follow the events and are ready to provide additional support to the people of Ukraine,” he added.
500,000 will go to support the joint efforts of the Ukrainian Health Ministry and the Red Cross Society in Ukraine in providing emergency aid.
The money will be used to provide medical care and meet the priority needs of Ukrainian IDPs.
The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and Global Giving will each receive $150,000. 200 thousand dollars. – Ukrainian volunteer organization ASAP Rescue, which helps evacuate citizens during natural disasters and social upheavals.
