Developers at Peersyst Technologies have created a bridge between the XRP (XRP) and Ethereum (ETH) cryptocurrency blockchains.
On October 17, Peersyst Technologies staff launched a test version of the XRP Ledger sidechain compatible with the ETH network. Using a built-in bridge and block browser, users of the ledger can interact with decentralized applications running on the Ethereum blockchain. The bridge allows you to send digital assets from the sidechain to the XRP Ledger and back again.
Tomorrow we will publish instructions on how to use and test the Ethereum-compatible sidechain and open accounts to store XRP in the MetaMask wallet,” Peersyst Technologies employees said.
Peersyst Technologies plans to scale up the sidechain in early 2023 so that it will be as fast as the XRP network. The ultimate goal of the project’s authors is to add a bridge to the main XRP blockchain, but the timeline for this task is not yet known.
The news of the sidechain’s launch has not affected XRP’s exchange rate. In the last 24 hours, the cryptocurrency has gained only 1.6%. To be fair, it should be noted that the value of other top digital assets has also changed slightly. For example, bitcoin added 1.7%, and BNB (BNB) – %.
